American Muse is a proudly American literary and culture magazine established in 2025. It seeks to embody the American ideals through storytelling, art, and artistry, paying homage to those who came before and inspiring the next generation of young Americans.

AM offers a medium free from mainstream narratives while providing a voice to the average American. It seeks to combat the erosion of American cultural values while highlighting the seemingly ordinary aspects of everyday life. We strive to give a platform to a wide array of artists and creators, highlighting the various aspects of American culture.

In an age of short-form video vices, ever-advancing AI, and increasing global homogeneity, we find it now more vital than ever to pause and reflect on the personal, the regular, the inspiring, and the extraordinary in the ordinary of our lives and our country.

AM endeavors to preserve the sanctity of human expression and connection, only showcasing artistic and written works created entirely by humans. We aim to be a bulwark against the tide of AI and the loss of appreciation for human creations and creators. We hope to inspire creativity and wonder for that which is found in small places and small acts, in the beauty spread wide across this nation.
